SPI International/Filmbox has signed a multi-year distribution deal with the Bulgarian incumbent Vivacom.
As a result, Vivacom’s DTH and IPTV platforms will carry the channels FilmBox Plus, FilmBox Extra HD, DocuBox HD, FightBox HD, Fast&FunBox HD and Eroxxx HD.
Commenting on the development, Berk Uziyel, executive director for Filmbox International Ltd, said: “As we are committed to growing our presence in Bulgaria we are glad that our channels will reach new viewers through Vivacom’s DTH and IPTV services.
“In addition to our linear channels, Vivacom’s customers will be able to enjoy our content on demand”.
Hristina Borisova, manager multimedia & value added services for Vivacom, added: “We are happy to announce our deal with SPI as it brings more valuable content to our subscribers. This is the first step in our strategy for increasing the volume of content that we offer to our subscribers”.
SPI International has been operating channels in Bulgaria since 2011. In addition to the six channels picked up by Vivacom, it also offers FilmBox (a basic movie channel), FilmBox Art House, FashionBox HD, 360TuneBox and Erox HD.
