Accedo brings Sky Deutschland to PlayStation 3 and 4

Sky Online PlayStationAccedo, a Swedish provider of TV application solutions, has worked with Sky Deutschland to bring the German pay-TV broadcaster’s OTT service Sky Online to Sony PlayStation 3 and 4 games consoles.

Using Accedo XDK, Accedo’s cross-platform development toolkit, Sky Deutschland has been able to extend the existing Sky Online app to the new platforms.

“Having launched Sky Online, together with Accedo, on Samsung and LG Smart TVs as well as the Sky Online TV Box we are particularly excited to extend the reach of Sky Online to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4,” said Alice Mascia, executive vice president at Sky Deutschland.

Sky Online for PlayStation 4 was launched on May 31, 2016 while PlayStation 3 followed on June 8, 2016.
