“Arris is our long-term, strategic partner for delivering new broadband and TV services in Portugal, and brings leadership in RDK, 4K and advanced DOCSIS solutions to our latest, transformative service. For the transition to 4K video, we selected Arris’s HEVC set-tops to unite our new application framework and user interface and bring our subscribers the future of TV,” said Pedro Bandeira, Development Director, NOS. “Arris has delivered an exceptional level of support to ensure the success of our 4K service launch.”

Nagra is supplying its anyCast Connect  content security. The system is a converged CAS/DRM content security solution for broadcast, IPTV, OTT and the connected home.

“We congratulate NOS on this exciting launch that it will sure be a clear differentiator in the Portuguese market,” said Maurice van Riek, Senior Vice President, head of content & asset security, Nagra. “anyCast Connect was designed with next generation, multi-network pay-TV services in mind and can be integrated into any set-top box platform to support our customers in the deployment of enhanced services like 4K.
