The sale of Turkish satellite platform Digitürk to the Qatari-based beIN Media Group has been approved by the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).
The deal to purchase the 3.2 million subscriber operation is said to be worth $1.2 billion.
TMSF had previously seized 53% of Digitürk from Çukurova Holding in 2013 for non-payment of debts to the state agency.
Payment will be made in 60 days pending any legal objections to the sale.
The remaining 47% of Digitürk belonged to the US equity group Providence Equity Partners.
