The CME-owned Bulgarian national commercial broadcaster bTV is to launch a channel aimed specifically at Bulgarians living abroad.
According to Capital, it will be known as bTV International and initially available through the online VOD platform voyo.bg.
Offering a wide variety of content including news, current affairs and Bulgarian series, it will be offered free of charge for a 14-day trial period, after which the monthly fee will be 5.99 euros or dollars.
The new channel will find itself in direct competition with BiTV, a service that is offered free of charge and also has the advantage of tailoring its content to viewers living outside Bulgaria.
