German commercial broadcaster RTL II has launched its new digital TV offer for young viewers: RTL II You combines linear television with a video-on-demand service.
The ad-supported free-to-air channel can be received as a live-stream on its website as well as through apps on smart TV sets, smartphones and tablets (iOS/Android/Amazon Fire TV). RTL II You will not become available on traditional broadcast platforms cable, satellite, IPTV and DTT.
With original productions, third-party programmes from partners like joiz and Rocket Beans TV, US series including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Teen Wolf and The Late Late Show with James Corden as well as Japanese cartoons (animes), RTL II You targets viewers between 14 and 25 years of age.
