Canal Digital has signed a new distribution agreement with leading commercial channel TV2 ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.
“We are pleased that our customers will see TV2 broadcasts from the European Football Championship and other major sporting events in the summer. We also agreed to continue working together on innovative television services for the benefit of television viewers,” says Ragnar Kårhus, CEO, Canal Digital.
The agreement spares Norwegian viewers the mess that emerged earlier this year when talks between Canal Digital and Discovery/SBS broke down.
“This is an agreement TV2 can be very satisfied with and which ensures that we can continue good cooperation with Telenor in the dissemination of our content for the future,” says Kjetil Nilsen, director of distribution and technology in TV2.
Terms have not been released.
