Switzerland’s largest cable operator UPC Cablecom will change its name into UPC from today.
The new logo will be unveiled by CEO Eric Tveter in Zurich at 16.30 CET: The event will be streamed live on UPC’s Facebook site.
The company has also adopted the UPC brand in Austria, replacing UPC Austria. The new logo will also be introduced in Austria in the next weeks.
The unified brand for both countries was announced in December 2015. On August 1, 2014, parent company Liberty Global already merged its cable subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland into a single unit based in Zurich. This will now also be performed visually.
