Multimedia gains subs as profit falls

Multimedia Polska NewThe Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska had 827,000 subscribers to its video services at the end of Q1, or 41,000 (+5%) more than a year earlier.

As of the end of March, it had 1,622,400 marketable homes and a total of 1,690,900 RGUs.

Single play, double play and multi play customer totals were 387,500, 310,600 and 128,900 respectively, with the latter figure slightly down on last year due to some giving up fixed voice services.

ARPU per customer in Q1 stood at PLN69.5 (€15.7), up from PLN66.4 a year earlier, while video churn was 0.69% (0.72%).

Multimedia Polska’s revenues in Q1 amounted to PLN181,002,000, a 3% increase on a year earlier, with video, at PLN90,225,000 (+4%) accounting for half of the total.

Adjusted EBITDA was PLN89,281,000 (unchanged) and profit PLN10,931,000 (-4%).
