The Polish alternative telco Netia’s TV offer, which is branded Telewizja Osobista, ended the first quarter with 168,400 subscribers.
This was 16% more than a year earlier and a 3% increase on the previous quarter’s total.
As a result, it was received by 40% of the broadband customer base using the company’s own network.
Netia notes that a key factor is growth in sales of its TV services to completely new customers, served by either its modernised NGA network or that of the former cable operator Aster.
TV ARPU in Q1 amounted to PLN39 (€8.8), a figure unchanged from both the previous quarter and a year earlier.
Netia’s revenues in Q1 were PLN390,494,000, practically unchanged on a year earlier, while its adjusted EBITDA was PLN110,830,000 (-2% year-on-year).
Its net loss of PLN10,246,000 contrasted with a profit of PLN1,261,000 a year earlier.
