SPI International has launched Funbox 4K/UHD on PostTV in Luxembourg.
Post Luxembourg currently has over 40,000 IPTV subscribers in a market of around 200,000 homes.
Its offer of 250 SD and 170 HD channels includes 360 Tunebox HD in the basic, FilmBox Arthouse in the World pack, and Mediabox pack which contains DocuBox HD, FightBox HD, Fast&FunBox HD, FilmBox Arthouse and Eroxxx HD.
Funbox 4K/UHD is now available in the basic tier and can be received with the N7900, a new set-top box from Netgem deployed by Post Luxembourg.
Commenting on the launch, Sven Breckler, product manager TV from Post, said: “We are happy to have FunBox 4K/UHD, one of the best 4k channels, available for the launch in our network. We are the first TV operator in Luxembourg which will make 4k available to its customers.”
Berk Uziyel, executive director SPI International/Filmbox, added: “SPI is focusing on making as much native 4k content as possible available via this channel, and we are only showing those programs that have a high production value and can deliver outstanding visual highlights for the viewers.”
