The Hungarian national commercial broadcaster TV2 plans to launch 10 new thematic TV channels over course of the next few months.
Quoting index.ru, BBJ reports that they will cover such areas as gastronomy and Hungarian cuisine, movies, music, lifestyle and cartoons for children.
It adds that representatives at a leading local media event held in Siofok earlier this week said that the channels currently operated by TV2 have been falling behind in their viewership.
TV2 is the second largest commercial broadcaster in Hungary after RTL Klub.
It was acquired last year by Andrew G. Vajna, the government film commissioner.
