The Slovak public broadcaster RTVS has begun to offer both its channels in HD to terrestrial TV viewers for the first time.
According to Parabola, DVB-T is the only distribution platform in the country that covers 97% of its territory and does not charge monthly subscription fees.
It adds that the new Slovak public TV multiplex now includes both SD and HD versions of the RTVS channels, reception of which was previously only possible for DTH and cable customers.
