Slovenia-headquartered STN has in the space of 12 years since its inception in 2004 developed into one of the world’s leading teleports.
Speaking to Broadband TV News, Anver Anderson, the company’s general manager, said that it currently has 85 antennas, delivering 650 TV channels worldwide.
It covers the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US and soon also hopes to serve Latin America.
One of its main focuses at the moment is Asia, with the objective being to deliver programming to diaspora from the continent living in other parts of the world.
Anderson pointed out, as an example, that there are 1.3 million Chinese people living in Peru.
He added that STN wants to be is the conduit that brings people together, connecting them with home.
Anderson also said that STN is delivering content to CDNs, thereby playing a vital role in OTT.
