2015 was a breakthrough year for the Czech incumbent’s IPTV service O2 TV.
Thanks to such developments as the launch of a proprietary channel named O2 Sport, along with the introduction of a new tariff portfolio, including the option of watching the service on up to four mobile devices for free, its subscriber total increased by 10% to 202,000.
Meanwhile, the O2 TV app was downloaded almost 600,000 times.
O2 Czech’s consolidated operating revenue stabilised year-on-year at CZK37.385 billion (€1.382 billion) in 2015, while EBITDA increased by 24.7% to CZK10.142 billion and net profit was up by 44.5%, to CZK5.077 billion.
O2 TV, along with mobile data and O2 Slovakia, were the main growth areas.
