Eleven Sports Network has appointed Krzysztof Swiergiel as MD for Poland.
In his role, Swiergiel will be responsible for further expanding Eleven’s growth in the country, including increasing revenues, developing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the network’s day-to-day operations.
He will be based in the company’s Warsaw office and report directly to group MD, Danny Mencken.
Swiergiel, who has held a number of senior management positions in Poland’s sports media industry, will join Eleven from Lagardère Sports Poland, where in his role as MD he has led the expansion of the business by increasing sales, managing client relationships and developing its licence portfolio.
Prior to that, he was MD of Eurosport Polska from 2006-14, where he oversaw the launch of new versions of the network’s channels and significantly increased company revenues.
Commenting on the appointment, Menken said: “Krzysztof’s knowledge and experience of the Polish sports media industry makes him the perfect person to lead our team in Poland and we are delighted to welcome him to Eleven.
