2.92 million homes in Poland received satellite signals from SES Astra as of the end of 2015, according to the latest Satellite Monitor published by the operator.
SES Astra’s share of the Polish DTH market stood at 52%, up from 50% a year earlier and 47% in 2013.
Satellite was the most popular method of receiving TV services in Poland in 2015, with a share of 43%.
It was followed by cable (30%), DTT (23%) and IPTV (3%).
The number of DTH homes stood at 5.62 million, up from 5.61 million a year earlier, with cable accounting for 3.98 million (4.05 million), DTT 3.01 million (3.24 million) and IPTV 410,000 (240,000).
DTH was also the most popular method of receiving HD services in Poland in 2015, with 4.52 million households.
It was followed by cable (22.05 million), DTT (1.43 million) and IPTV (200,000).
