Dutch utilities group Delta has confirmed it plans to sell some of its activities, including its Delta cablenet and ISP Zeelandnet.
In an update on its restructuring, the company said efforts to recapitalise its wholesale energy division did not offer enough promise for the future, so it has decided to put both its wholesale and retail divisions up for sale.
Delta offers TV services to around 155,000 homes in the province of Zeeland and is the largest cablenet still owned by a province.
Ziggo would be the most likely buyer for the network, as the province of Zeeland is the largest white spot in the cabler’s footprint.
