The Polish public broadcaster TVP is considering adding two more thematic channels to its portfolio.
Presserwis reports that they would be named TVP Nostalgia and TVP Zycie, with the latter focused on lifestyle.
Furthermore, they would not be distributed as separate services on a DTT multiplex, instead being part of the public broadcaster’s second channel (TVP2) structure.
Maciej Chmiel, the latter’s director, said that key executives were currently considering the possibility of launching the channels and that no decision had yet been reached.
Aside from its main channels TVP1, TVP2, TVP3 and TVP Polonia, TVP also operates the thematic channels TVP Info, TVP Kultura, TVP Historia, TVP Seriale, TVP Rozrywka, TVP Sport and TVP ABC.
In addition, it also has an internet channel named TVP Parlament, along with Belsat TV, which is aimed at viewers in Belarus.
