The MyTV service operated by Telenor’s Hungarian subsidiary has been made available to non-Telenor customers.
BBJ reports that customers no longer need a TV subscription to watch HBO Go. Thanks to its partnership with the latter, Telenor’s service includes 750 movies, 100 series and 250 documentaries, all dubbed or subtitled, for a monthly fee of HUF2,490 (€8). With HBO Go, viewers are now offered an expanded selection of films and series.
Commenting on the development, Aleksandra Banovic, chief digital services officer at Telenor Hungary, said: “We believe that MyTV offers a real alternative to traditional television subscriptions. MyTV requires no cable and provides unlimited access to content anytime and anywhere. Now our customers can select their favorite programs from 50 television channels and several thousand hours of video”.
Telenor launched MyTV as a service especially developed for the Hungarian market in December 2013.
