The Hungarian regulator NMHH has fined Invitel HUF40 million (€128.000) for unilaterally amending subscribers’ contracts from October 1 last year.
Although the NMHH notes that the telco has been fined on several previous occasions for such infringements, the most recent being HUF80 million last summer, it also says that on this occasion the gravity of the offence has been reduced by Invitel working constructively with the authorities and voluntarily saying it would resolve the situation.
The contractual amendments made by Invitel referred to all three core services – telephony, internet and TV – offered by the company.
