The DTH platform New Digi TV has secured exclusive Czech rights to the Premier League for three seasons, beginning 2016/17.
Commenting on the development, Vladimir Rusak, New Digi TV’s executive director, said that unlike this season (2015-16) it would not have to share the rights with a competing TV service.
New Digi TV, which has been owned by the Czech investment group Lama Energy Group since April 2015, already holds the exclusive rights to Spain’s La Liga.
It also shows football from the leading leagues in France, Germany, Italy and Scotland.
