Viasat has begun to distribute the channels Trace Sport Stars HD and Trace Urban HD in Russia.
TelecomDaily reports that the first pay-TV operator Viasat has reached an agreement with is the DTH platform NTV-Plus, which is now offering the two channels, via Eutelsat 36B/36C, to viewers in the European part of Russia.
Viasat’s parent company MTG bought a 75% stake in the French media group Trace Partners, which operates the Trace channel portfolio, in 2014.
Trace has distribution agreements with third-party TV operators in 160 countries, 55 of which are in Africa.
