German travel channel Marco Polo TV will screen travel shows in Ultra HD on Astra (19.2° East).
The programmes will be broadcast on showcase channel UHD1 by Astra/HD+ on the frequency 10.994 GHz H (SR 22,000, FEC 9/10).
The first 4K production to be shown is a report about Egypt on April 11, 2016 at 21.15 CET. Four further programmes will air on the same slot in the following weeks covering Mumbai (April 18), La Gomera (April 25), Ireland (May 2) and Eastern Tyrol (May 9).
Additional 15 episodes of the travel series are planned until the end of 2016.
For reception of the encrypted transmission, DTH satellite households need an Ultra HD/HEVC TV set with an HD+ CI module or an HD+ Ultra HD set-top-box with activated HD+ smartcard.
