Switzerland’s largest cable operator UPC Cablecom will expand its range of digital TV, HD and radio channels on April 20, 2016.
The additions on UPC Cablecom’s change day include French channels France 3 HD, France 4 HD, France 5 HD and France Ô which will complement W9 HD, TMC HD and NT1 HD. The channels are available throughout Switzerland.
In Biel/Bienne, UPC Cablecom customers will be able to receive German-language local channels Tele Z and Tele D in HD quality for the first time. For cable households in French-speaking Switzerland and in Biel/Bienne RAI HD and LCI HD will be added.
UPC Cablecom will also bring PBS America, the international channel of the American public broadcaster, to Swiss TV screens for the first time. The schedule comprises, for example, reports on current social and political topics, documentaries and science series. PBS America will be available to all customers subscribing to the Compact, Classic or Comfort package.
The Liberty Global subsidiary will also expand its radio offer. 20 new stations will join the basic package, boosting the line-up to more than 200 radio channels.
