International French language broadcaster TV5 Monde has signed an agreement with Greek state broadcaster ERT to be distributed on the country’s DTT network.
The French langauge channel will be available on digital terrestrial television as a free-to-air service. Until now, TV5 Monde was only available on satellite, and on Greece’s Hellas Online IPTV service.
ERT and the French broadcaster also signed an agreement in the field of cooperation of programme production.
The aim of the two deals is to “promote the exchange of high-quality television programmes, online education learning of French language programs, promotion of Greek history and Greek tourism, and overall mutual promotion of modern image of the two countries.”
