Virgin Media is to cease offering customers Smartcall, the app that allows customers to make calls from their mobile phone, as if they were using their home calling package.
The cablenet says more of its customers are choosing to use alternative apps and services. It was first introduced to the UK in November 2012.
A version of the app is also available to customers on the Ziggo network in the Netherlands.
Smartcall has already been withdrawn from app stores and will cease to function from 28 April.
