Denmark’s Stofa will launch an à la carte option for its cable TV customers on March 31.
Speaking at the Connected TV Summit, Thomas Helbo, the company’s CTO, said that it would allow them to buy one channel for one month with no strings attached. He added that all the channels available in its packages would also be offered on an à la carte basis.
Helbo also said that he did not expect many customers to take up the option, with the main expectation being to change the perception of consumers about what they are being offered.
Helbo revealed that some smaller market players want to be part of Stofa’s ecosystem solution.
Stofa is the second largest provider in Denmark after TDC and, according to Helbo, has to be flexible and agile.
It already provides its customers with what is a unique product.
