The Polish national commercial broadcaster Polsat has lost a legal dispute with the DTH platform nc+ over the right to use the symbol +.
Wirtualne Media reports that the broadcaster still has to decide whether to accept the decision, passed by the Warsaw Court of Appeal.
Polsat launched a news channel called Polsat News + in June 2014 but changed its name to Polsat Business after ITI Neovision, the operator of nc+, sued for the infringement of trademark rights and unfair competition.
Although the Warsaw Regional Court dismissed the claim in December 2014, its judgment has now been reversed.
