French digital services company Cellfish has acquired the assets of the hybrid OTT provider TeVolution.
TeVolution was launched in July 2013 and offers a combination of terrestrial reception of the French free-to-air TNT HD bouquets and a number of OTT bouquets.
“We are convinced that this acquisition will accelerate the development of Cellfish in the field of video: we will benefit from the expertise in distribution of pay-TV offerings and recognized technological skills of TeVolution in the fields of distributing OTT,” said Nicolas d’Hueppe, president of Cellfish.
TeVolution allows its customers to benefit from a turnkey solution, combining aggregation of content, a video platform, and access interfaces to content multi-screen (set-top boxes and mobile applications).
TeVolution operates and distributes today more than 150 non-linear channels and services through its multiple partnerships in France.
“The integration of TeVolution in Cellfish will give us the means to start the international roll-out of our solution and to benefit from the proven experience of Cellfish in the world of telecoms and mobile in particular. The synergies created will better serve our existing customers and enable us to develop innovative offers,” said Raphael Porte, co-founder of TeVolution.
Porte will join Cellfish joined as VP business development and sales.
