Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has granted the fixed-line operator NetByNet the right to acquire seven companies in Moscow and Moscow region so far this year.
Comnews reports that the latest deals, though not yet completed, are for respective stakes of 100% and 90% in Atlant Telecom and Ekspanet and will allow NetByNet to increase its share of the Moscow broadband market from around 9% to 10-11%.
NetByNet was established in 2006 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of MegaFon since June 2011.
It has a total of over 853,000 private and corporate customers in seven federal districts of Russia.
