The Medical Channel has made its debut in Poland and is now being offered by the cable operator Elsat.
London-based Limeclip Ltd, the channel’s owner, has chosen SGT as it technological partner in Poland. It will be responsible for fibre-optic distribution the channel.
Commenting on the launch, Kamila Soldrowska, a spokesperson at Elsat, said: “We are constantly in search for new and interesting ventures and the Medical Channel represents exactly that for us. Their approach to business, notably the high importance they give to their viewers is in line with Elsat’s values. Sharing common principles is important to us.”
Nives Lepin, channel distribution manager at Limeclip Ltd, added: “One of our many goals for 2016 is to continue growing across the EU. Poland is a significant market for us and is one step further in Limeclip’s business strategy that looks to expand to Germany and the UK in the very near future.”
The Medical Channel is currently available on 19 platforms in Central and Eastern Europe.
Outside the region, it is also eyeing launches in Austria and Switzerland.
