Swiss media company AZ Medien will launch its second nationwide TV channel TV25 on April 26, 2016.
With upmarket entertainment programmes, the channel wants to target viewers between 30 and 59 years of age. The schedule will comprise European movies, series, cookery shows, arthouse films and Swiss original productions.
The daytime hours will be occupied by MeteoNews.TV, Switzerland’s first weather channel. The service is operated by MeteoNews, the largest Swiss commercial weather company founded by Peter Wick. Each day between 06.00 and 18.00 CET, viewers will be informed about the latest regional, national and international weather developments.
From launch, TV25 will be carried by UPC Cablecom, Swisscom, Sunrise, Quickline and smaller cable operators, ensuring nationwide availability.
AZ Medien already operates nationwide TV channel TV24 as well as local channels TeleZüri, Tele M1 and TeleBärn.
