Swiss telco Sunrise has won 7,000 new customers for its IPTV platform Sunrise TV in Q4 2015.
Across the whole year, 26,700 new customers were added – an increase by 25% compared with 2014.
5,300 new customers signed up for an internet subscription from Sunrise in Q4 2015, resembling the largest growth in more than five years. Throughout 2015, the number of internet customers rose by 14,600 – an increase by 4.5% compared with 2014.
In total, Sunrise had 394,000 fixed-line telephony, 342,000 internet and 134,000 IPTV customers at the end of 2015.
“The investments we have made in the last three years in network quality, product innovation and customer service are now paying off,” Sunrise CEO Libor Voncina said in Zurich.
Sunrise also announced that Voncina who held the CEO position for more than three years will step back on May 9, 2016. His successor will be Olaf Swantee, the former head of UK-based mobile network operator EE.
