Austrian media group Mediengruppe Österreich plans to enter the domestic TV market.
oe24.tv Live will launch as a “new, national TV channel for the digital age” in September 2016, the company announced.
A 24-hour live service will be broadcast from the newsroom of Austrian daily newspaper Österreich offering “the fastest news from Austria”, according to the company.
The ad-supported free-to-air channel will be transmitted via cable, satellite, mobile TV and as a live-stream on the internet. Further details will be announced next week.
Besides Österreich, Mediengruppe Österreich also operates news portal www.oe24.at and other publications.
