Racing UK has finally made the move into high definition broadcasting.
The premium horse racing channel has upgraded its transmission ahead of the prestigious Cheltenham Festival, which begins on March 15.
Initially, the HD service will be restricted to Sky satellite subscribers.
Racing UK is promising that 82% of the 599 racing fixtures currently scheduled will be screened in the high definition format.
The channel is owned by Racecourse Media Group Ltd, the umbrella organisation for the 34 racecourses, which also runs Turf TV and GBI Racing.
