A new TV association named RegionTVnet has been launched in Slovakia.
Medialne reports that it brings together regional stations and lists TV Bratislava, TV Karpaty, TV Niticka, TV Oravia and TV Zemplin as its founder members.
The aim of the association is to empower regional TV stations, support legislative changes designed to strengthen their financial resources, build commercial cooperation between its members, as well as promote grant support from public and private sources.
RegionTVnet will operate in parallel with LOToS, an association of local stations founded in 1997.
