Viacom’s Paramount Channel has launched on Italy’s free-to-view satellite DTH platform Tivùsat in both SD and HD.
For Alessandro Picardi, president of Tivùsat, “the choice of Paramount is an important confirmation of the growth of Tivùsat and recognition of the role that we have wwith broadcasters and the public.”

“This is further confirmation of the high technical quality of television images through our satellites. This is the Eutelsat mission: working together with its partners in order to support the broadcast sector and ensure that users always have the best viewing experience.”
Tivùsat is a free-to-view encrypted service which can be received through a certified Tivùsat device (decoder or TV with CAM), satellite dish pointed at Eutelsat 13 degrees East and smartcard included in the decoder’s or CAM’s package.
Tivùsat ended September with 2.5 million activated smartcards.
