Poland’s leading pay-TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat ended 2015 with over one million customers, buying a total of 3.04 million RGUs, to its SmartDOM programme.
Meanwhile, the average number of contracted pay-TV RGUs at the end of Q4 stood at 4,503,320, or 2.5% more than a year earlier, of which 936,307 (+10.8%) were Multiroom.
The total number of contracted RGUs was 12,614,703 (+2.2%), while there were 3,854,993 (-6.8%) prepaid RGUs, of which 31,972 (-74%) were pay-TV.
ARPU per customer for contracted services in 2015 amounted to PLN87.3 (€19.9), whole for prepaid it stood at PLN18.3.
Cyfrowy Polsat notes thsat the take-up of multiplay services is growing, with each of its customers opting on average for 2.13 active contract ones (+6% year-on-year)n as of the end of 2015.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s revenues in Q4 amounted to PLN2,610 million (+4% year-on-year) and operating costs were PLN2,159 million (+2%). EBITDA was PLN881 million (+5%) and net profit PLN186 million (+1.227%).
Separately, Cyfrowy Polsat has indirectly acquired shares Litenite Limited and shares in Midas S.A.
