German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has appointed Hans Gabbe to the position of senior vice president sports rights.
Gabbe, previously director sports rights at Sky Deutschland, replaces Volker Winter who has left the company in mutual consent, according to the broadcaster. Gabbe will report to Holger Enßlin, managing director legal, regulatory & distribution.
In his new function, the 41-year old solicitor will be responsible for all issues regarding sports rights acquisitions including the upcoming Bundesliga rights tender as well as the new business area sports commercialisation.
