Telenet said that its triple-play subscribers are up 6% yoy to 1,094,300 at December 31, 2015, representing around 50% of its customer base.
However, subscribers to the total basic and enhanced video services decreased by 4,900 (FY 2015: 28,500) to 2,054,800 at December 31, 2015. Net organic loss rate in Q4 2015 was broadly stable compared to the
prior quarter despite tough competition in Q4, and continued to improve compared to the first half of 2015 when churn rate was adversely impacted by the anticipated impact from the January 2015 price adjustments.
Approximately 83% of the cabler’s video customers subscribed to enhanced video services compared to around 81% at December 31, 2014. Telenet served 1,714,200 enhanced video customers at December 31, 2015, adding 10,700 net subscribers in Q4 2015 (FY 2015: 34,100). At December 31, 2015, approximately 26% of all enhanced video subscribers were actively using the Yelo Play TV everywhere app.
At December 31, 2015, the subscription VOD packages Play and Play More had 298,600 customers, doubling compared to the prior year period and up 22% compared to Q3 2015 and driven in part
by temporary promotions and seasonality.
