HBO will re-launch its linear channels and rebrand HBO Comedy in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) on March 21.
The new channel line-up will be HBO, on air for 24 hours daily and including all main HBO original drama series simultaneously with HBO in the US in its programming; HBO2, with 24-hour family-oriented programming; and HBO3, formerly HBO Comedy, providing viewers with full seasons of recent and cult HBO US programming, as well as HBO Europe local original production series, for 24 hours daily.
Significantly, HBO2 will now also be available in Romania, Bulgaria and the Adria territories, with viewers for the first time being able to receive all three channels.
In CEE, HBO broadcasts in a total of 14 countries, namely Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzogovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia.
Subscribers outside CEE, to HBO Nordic and HBO Netherlands, will be unaffected by these changes.
