Canal Digital grew profits by another NOK 31 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, despite continued subscriber losses.
The satellite platform is currently in a standoff with Discovery Networks over the carriage of Discovery, Eurosport and national broadcasters including TV Norge that are owned by Discovery.
Revenues at the DTH operation increased by 3% from the fourth quarter of 2015, the benefit of currency effects. Price increases kept the ship steady. Revenues of NOK 1,172 million (€122m) delivered an operating profit of NOK 182 million
In Satellite transmission, the EBITDA margin slipped by one percentage point, as the strong dollar helped add 5% to revenues of NOK 256 million.
