The MTS network in St Petersburg is reported to have suffered a massive failure over the weekend.
According to TelecomDaily, it was most pronounced on Saturday, with customers being unable to access fixed internet, digital TV, fixed and mobile telephony services in a number of areas in the city.
Corporate clients such as the ISP Skynet were also affected by the outage.
TelecomDaily adds that MTS refused to admit it was having problems with its network, with the company’s press service saying the difficulties were down to problems individual customers were experiencing with their devices.
