Foxconn’s CEO Terry Gou said the company will acquire Sharp by the end of February for ¥659 billion, according to a source.
According to Reuters, executives of the two companies have reached a consensus about the main details of the deal.
Foxconn, known formally as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, has been given preferred negotiating rights and most remaining issues to be resolved were legal and regulatory.
