Freesat added an additional 36,000 homes in the three months to December 2015, representing over half of the 61,000 new households that took the service during the year.
The free-to-air satellite platform is now available in over 1.93 million households and is watched by more than four million viewers every week.
There’s no breakdown of the proportion of Freetime homes, but Freesat says the connected TV guide saw a 13% gain during the year.
More than 700,000 people have downloaded the Freetime app which is available across iOS, Android and Kindle.

Irish terrestrial platform Saorview has recently signed an agreement with Freeview for a version of its TV guide.
