Andrea Lang will manage acquisitions, programme development, original productions and creative solutions in the position of Head of Programming at Zee TV’s upcoming German free-to-air channel.
The appointment follows the announcement by Indian media company Zee Entertainment Enterprises to expand to Germany and launch a 24-hour channel by mid-2016, initially offering Bollywood movies and series with original productions such as entertainment shows to follow later.
Lang has been working in executive positions in the TV and programme industry for 23 years, for example as Vice President Entertainment at German commercial channel RTL II. Most recently, she headed RTL II’s docutainment department.
