The Czech Republic’s Atmedia is preparing to launch its first campaign using the HbbTV platform.
According to the company, it will run throughout February and March on selected thematic channels, namely Relax, Rebel, Retro, Kino Svet and TV Praha.
Although all of these are terrestrial services, Iva Pantuckova, the company’s sales director, believes it can also implement HbbTV on other thematic channels, delivered by cable, DTH and IPTV.
The test campaign will be undertaken in partnership with Digital Broadcasting and Prague Digital TV, with Mautilus being responsible for app development.
Atmedia has operated in the Czech Republic since 2008 and currently sells ad space on 27 thematic channels.
