The German Parliament has recently upgraded the technical infrastructure of its TV channel Bundestag TV to enable productions in HD quality.
This was announced by German service provider L-S-B Broadcast Technologies whose control system Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) has been implemented as part of the process.
The Parliamentary channel set up in 1999 transmits plenary meetings and other sessions live. The line-up also comprises public hearings, interviews, discussion rounds, historic footage and reports on exhibitions in the Bundestag.
The channel can be received unencrypted via satellite on Astra (23.5° East), on the cable networks of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland in Berlin and NetCologne in Cologne, as a smart TV app, on smartphones and tablets through the Bundestag app and as a live-stream on its website.
