Bulgaria’s Competition Protection Commission (CPC) has approved the sale of the incumbent telco Vivacom to the local entrepreneur Spas Roussev.
Novinite reports that the CPC has said the entities involved in the deal are not active in the same market, or indeed tightly connected neighbouring one.
As a result, the sale will not have an impact on any market or its structure.
It adds that the decision can be appealed against within 14 days of its publication.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the sale of Vivacom by VTB Capital, the investment banking arm of Russia’s second largest bank VTB, to Roussev was first announced at the end of last November.
